WolleXDP

WolleXDP is my synonym as a DJ and even though I don't want to feel that old by any means, I probably count as one of those infamous "techno veterans". In the middle of my youth in East Berlin, the fall of the Wall and the "new freedom" came in 1989. I took advantage of this to finally live out my then revolutionary way of staging events. Together with my friends, I developed the concept of "X.D.P.". - which means "ecstasy dance project" and in its most radical form was TEKKNOZID and this is what is commonly called a "techno party" today. This may seem a little strange to those who are reading this for the first time, but this is how it is described in almost all retrospectives on techno history ("Klang der Familie", "Loveparade O-töne einer Bewegung", "We call it Techno", Wikipedia etcpp).
But that's history and even though I'm quite proud of it, I don't live in the past. I am still not "tired" and love to merge into an excessive unity in the rhythm of music together with many like-minded people. That is my passion and with it I could inspire at countless parties and clubs worldwide and still do today.
Since the beginning of 2012, I no longer play with vinyl (except at classic parties), but with a kind of DJ keyboard, the "Traktor S4". Even if the storage medium of the music (CD, vinyl, laptop) itself certainly doesn't have the significance that justifies these endless "analogue vs. digital" discussions about it, for me this change was so significant that I can't leave it unmentioned here. For me as a DJ, this system change was and is one of the most significant changes since I was able to switch from cassette to vinyl in 1989. To understand it, it's probably not enough to listen to my sets, you have to experience it yourself.... preferably on the dance floor :)
You can find a selection of current recordings of my sets at "Mixcloud".
